Tutoring on e-Learning

Tutoring Sub-Area Description

Tutoring Contents Area

On e-learning the Trainer or Teacher roles are different in face-to-face training in a classroom or in distance situation.
In synchronous learning the roles of the Teacher or Trainer are more the role of a Tutor or a guide role of the Learner. This means that the Trainer should have a moderating activity with the Trainees or Students, helping them to discover their own learning. This is the role of a Tutor or an e-Tutor as actuallly is called the Tutor in e-learning.

In asynchronous learning the role of e-Tutor is more evident as the Trainee or Student is completely alone and needs to have a support of somebody to help solving learning difficults or misunderstandings of the contents studied. The role of an e-Tutor is to give a remote follow-up of the Trainee or Student on an e-learning system.

This is clearly the role of the e-Tutor who will give remote support by initiative of the e-Trainee or e-Student or the e-Tutor will contact the learner to motivate him/her to learn and to avoid frustation or incorrect paths on studying alone.
